We Do Tie-Dye Parties!

WANT TO DO A GROUP TIE-DYE PROJECT?

We are pleased to announce we are able to facilitate group training sessions for "Tie-Dye Parties" for those who want to do a group project.  This is how we got started, doing tie-dye with our own child and all his cousins, friends, and all their parents.  We recently did a large group of Backyard Critter 4-H children, and they had a blast!  More importantly, they had fun!

We typically bring all the necessary supplies and they either bring their own shirts, or we can get some.

The children and parents are given a demonstration of how to process the t-shirts, how to prep the garment to get their desired results.  Then, they are shown how to apply the dye colors, including how much, and some other tricks of the trade.  When the children listen, follow directions, and don't rush the process, they end up with excellent results.  Our last "party" was with 40 fourth grade students, who did t-shirts of their school colors.  Our experience shows that the children do a great job picking their colors, their designs, and take a lot of pride in a job well done!

BONUS:  We are both current employees of the public school system, and have been background checked and fingerprinted.  We regularly substitute teach and also teach at the local community college.  Our experience with children ranges from very young to the oldies who think they are young.  There's no wool over these eyes!
